Donations
Jethro’s Place is a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit organization. This means, your donations are tax deductible. We do not receive government funding and rely solely on your generosity. The national organizations receive millions of dollars, the largest humane organization in this state receives millions of dollars in donations every year. Jethro's Place is much smaller, but we are an effective advocate for homeless companion animals. Since we opened in 1999, hundreds of dogs and cats have been saved from shelters that sell to research, our public education campaign to end the sale of lost pets to research dealers by Michigan pounds and shelters is working. Since we started our campaign, Huron Township, City of Detroit, City of Romulus, Tuscola County, St. Joseph County have ended research sales.
There is still much work to be done. With your generosity we will be able to continue our mission to save the lives of many homeless dogs and cats. We will also be able to continue our work and educate the public about issues affecting Michigan animals.
Jethro's Place also maintains the only senior pet adoption webpage for Senior dogs and cats in Michigan Shelters. We work closely with shelters to get great forever homes. We need your support to continue our efforts.
We ask that you let us know you support our work. Commit to eating one less meal at a fast food chain each week, buy one less candy bar a day, and donate the money saved to Jethro's Place. It really will make a difference, for example, one monthly dose of heartworm preventative costs about the same as one fast food meal.
Since September 11th, our donations have dramatically decreased. The number of animals that we can help has dropped also. We need your support now more than ever. To donate via paypal, please click:
